Task: Duct Cleaning Procedure and Protocol
The steps below outline the duct cleaning process:
1. Inspection
A robotic device will inspect the ducts, and photos will be taken before cleaning to record their condition.
2. Zone Cleaning Setup
Ducts will be divided into zones for efficient cleaning. Foam seals and openings will be added as needed to simplify the process.
3. Air Handling Unit (AHU) Cleaning
The AHU will be cleaned, including fan blades, blower housing, drain pans, and air conditioning coils, using HEPA vacuums and other tools.
4. Air Diffusers and Grills Cleaning
Supply air diffusers and return air grills will be removed, cleaned, and reinstalled.
5. Negative Air Cleaning
A powerful air brush or pressurized air system will loosen dirt and debris inside the ducts, ensuring thorough cleaning.
6. Contaminant Removal
A high-powered vacuum with HEPA filters will collect all dislodged contaminants into a dustcollector.
7. Post-Cleaning Documentation
After cleaning, photos will be taken to confirm and document the results. This process ensures a clean and well-maintained duct system.
